John LaBahn has joined Portola Packaging, Inc. as our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

April 10, 2008 - Batavia, Illinois - Portola Packaging, Inc. announced that John LaBahn has joined Portola Packaging, Inc. as our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

John brings more than 20 years of financial experience in a manufacturing environment and has been the CFO for much larger companies like American National Can Group, Inc a $2.5 Billion multinational packaging company and most recently Chen Central Corporation, a $1.4 Billion privately held chemical distribution company.

In addition to his experiences, John earned both his B.S. in Accounting from Western Michigan University and his M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Chicago.

In this new capacity for Portola, John will have full responsibility for Accounting and Financial Analysis, SEC reporting, Treasury and banking relations, Purchasing as well as IT.

John and his wife, Mary Ellen, and their children Carolyn, Megan, Jillian and Sean reside in Naperville.
