NEW PORTOLA PACKAGING TLJ SPORT CAP FEATURES PATENTED DUAL TAMPER-EVIDENT BANDS

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, April 2001 -- The TLJ Sport Cap pull-push dispensing closure from Portola Packaging, Inc. includes patented dual tamper-evident seals on the spout and neck, offering consumers unique double security protection. First seen in a limited introduction at the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Australia, the closure is now available to the general marketplace. The closure base is molded of polypropylene (PP) and the spout of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). The TLJ closure is suitable for both hot and cold fill beverage applications, as well as for use with automotive, household chemical, personal care and liquid/viscous food products.

The TLJ Sport Cap features a high-flow orifice and 38mm continuous thread neck finish. It is designed to seal either with or without an inner liner, and can be supplied with a dust cap or not as customers require.

The closure is available in a wide variety of colors and can be customized to meet specific customer color-matching requirements.
