SAN JOSE, CA - June 2001 – Portola Packaging, Inc. announced the opening of a new manufacturing plant in Toronto, Canada. The new plant adds much needed capacity to the Ontario market and is operational as of June 2001.

Portola Packaging Canada, Ltd. will offer the Ontario market high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles. The plastics division is a specialist in HDPE bottles for the milk, juice and water industries. The plant will also warehouse plastic tamper-evident caps and distribute Portola's closures.
