NEW PRESIDENT AT PORTOLA TECH INTERNATIONAL - RICK SCHOFIELD (April 4, 2008)

April 4, 2008 - Batavia, IL - Portola Packaging, Inc., a leading global supplier of packaging closures, announces that they have hired Rick Schofield as President of their Portola Tech International (PTI) cosmetics packaging business unit.

Rick has 30 plus highly successful years in the cosmetics industry and has served as President and/or CEO of numerous cosmetic supply companies including Risdon, Emsar, Inc., Applied Tech Products and most recently Beauty Innovation Laboratories.

In addition to his experiences, Rick earned both his B.A in Economics and his M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Notre Dame. Rick resides in Greenwich, CT with his wife and two children.
