PORTOLA SUSTAINABILITY MISSION STATEMENT
At Portola, we recognize our responsibility to make a significant contribution to the economic, social and environmental well-being in the countries and regions where we conduct business. Portola desires to use our natural resources effectively and responsibly by managing energy use, reducing waste, and recycling were possible. Our goal is to provide a positive environmental impact by seeking out sustainable, value-creating opportunities in our manufacturing operations and the products we produce.
As stated in our Mission Statement, we intend to use our natural resources responsibly by:
- managing energy use
- reducing waste
- recycling wherever possible
- partnering with our customers
- partnering with our communities
Portola has proudly created our Green Team to drive our sustainability strategies. Each of our facilities is creating benchmarks for carbon footprint and emissions, after which our Green Team will establish Portola's reduction goals.
We are sensitive to the environmental impact our company and its products make. We understand the need for having a strong environmental policy, and we like to share information about our many sustainability initiatives.
